New Facility

The Essex Information Assurance business unit has recently moved to a new engineering facility in Millersville, Maryland. Essex had issued the following press release about this new facility.

Essex Corporation Creates New Information Assurance Facility

COLUMBIA, Md., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Essex Corporation (Nasdaq: KEYW) announces the expansion of its Information Assurance (IA) Sector into its own facility in Millersville, MD. The IA Sector is one of the original Annapolis-based Divisions of The Windermere Group acquired by Essex in 2005, providing a full-spectrum of information security solutions for both government and commercial customers. The continued growth of the Essex Annapolis operations requires additional space. The Millersville location was selected because of its proximity to customers and its convenient location between Annapolis and Essex Corporate Headquarters in Columbia. Occupancy is planned to occur in the 2nd quarter of 2007. The Millersville facility is a newly constructed 34,200 sq ft three-story Class A professional office building.

Essex/Windermere currently has over 100 professionals engaged in information security engineering, including development and application of advanced cyber-security technologies to a wide range of customer requirements. Projects include designing, implementing, testing and operating information system security architectures. Capabilities include software engineering, system integration, security testing. Facilities include data centers, network infrastructures, software development environments with a full compliment of modern information assurance technologies and products. Examples of current research capabilities include the new Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), virtualization, wireless architectures, among others.
